Description
The Black Crownd Night Heron has the widest range of any heron in the world. It can be found in all 50 states, and also throughout Mexico and South America. Also, the Black Crowned Night Heron can be found in Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia.
These herons nest in trees, and prefer various wetland, marsh type habitat. Thye stalk their prey, which includes fish, lizards, amphibians, and aquatic invertebrates.
